Terms of Service

By accessing or using EffortlessDocs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

EffortlessDocs is a developer tool that connects to your GitHub repositories and generates documentation, release notes, and related content using AI. The Service may also integrate with third-party platforms such as Notion for publishing.

To use the Service, you must sign in with a Google account and install our GitHub App on the repositories you wish to use. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any actions taken through it.

You must have the necessary permissions to grant us access to the repositories and workspaces you connect. Do not connect repositories you do not have authorization to share.

You retain all rights to your source code, repositories, and any content you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access and process your authorized repository data solely for the purpose of providing the Service (generating documentation, detecting drift, and publishing to connected platforms).

Documentation generated by the Service is your content. You own it and may use it however you wish.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to process data you do not have the right to share
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

The Service uses AI models (including OpenAI) to generate documentation and release notes. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before using or publishing it.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including GitHub, Google, Notion, and OpenAI. Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EffortlessDocs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time by revoking the GitHub App installation and disconnecting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
